Paul Bekx came to Gilde in 2000, establishing Gilde’s Paris office in 2001 in order to focus on Gilde’s activities in Belgium and France. He has coordinated fundraising for the recently raised Gilde Buy-Out Fund III on behalf of the partnership, led the Novasep, Arovit, Betafence and Plastal investments, and also co-led the buyout of Armacell.

From 1995 to 2000 Paul was a partner and investment director with HSBC Private Equity (now Montagu). Prior to that, he was with the mezzanine unit of Samuel Montagu (now HSBC) where he moved to from Generale Bank's New York LBO unit in 1990.
